Race For The Baltic is pleased to announce that Katrineholm Municipality will be expanding its engagement in the Baltic Sea City Accelerator Club and assuming project management responsibilities for the Club, starting now and continuing in 2024 and 2025.

“Katrineholm is a great partner for advancing the mission of the Baltic Sea City Accelerator Club. Not only are they familiar with the operations, having been a member of the Club since its founding in 2018, but through their exemplary work with numerous water-related projects that have received attention both nationally and internationally, and their engagement in LIFE IP Rich Waters, they are also well-versed in participating in projects that are based on partnerships between national authorities, municipalities, companies, researchers, and independent foundations.” – Peter Wiwen-Nilsson, CEO, Race For The Baltic.

“We are honored that Race For The Baltic has entrusted Katrineholm Municipality with taking on this role and look forward to collaborating with them and building on the success of the Baltic Sea City Accelerator Club. It is a truly unique international network focused on eutrophication, and we look forward to playing our part in curating this platform where we can exchange knowledge among our Club members, gain access to leading research and solutions, and receive guidance on financing solutions.” – Jenny Herbertsson, Environmental Strategist and Water Management Coordinator, Katrineholm Municipality.

Race For The Baltic will continue to provide funding for the Club’s activities and contribute to the strategic direction of the program; however, the responsibilities for planning and coordinating the Club will be taken on by Katrineholm Municipality.
