Race For The Baltic
Race For The Baltic (RFTB) is a part of Zennström Philanthropies, founded by Catherine and Niklas Zennström. RFTB is an environmental non-profit foundation working to improve the health of one of the world’s most polluted and dead seas, the Baltic Sea. RFTB works both as a convener by bringing together politicians, companies and scientists, as well as run concrete nutrient reduction projects, all to improve the health of the Baltic Sea. We are a small and friendly yet professional team, driven by the urge of doing good.
As Office and Communications Coordinator your role is to take care of the administrative tasks and arrange occasional team events but also run RFTB's communication channels. Any initiative to make our office atmosphere even happier and more positive is always welcome. This is a full-time position and there is substantial potential to grow and take on additional responsibilities within the organization. This position reports to the CEO of Race For The Baltic.
General project management support when required
Administration of invoicing/accounting and office management
Arranging team events
Administration and creating content for communication channels:
RFTB's content management system (Squarespace)
Drafting newsletters and press releases
Contacting media to pitch stories
Crafting messaging and tone of voice as outlined in communication plans
Service minded, flexible and self-going
Excellent writing and communication skills in English and Swedish
Professional experience within digital marketing or communications
Professional experience from office management
University degree within communications or digital marketing
Experience with design, photography or video creation
Having an interest in environmental and/or water issues

Impact Technology Analyst
At Race For The Baltic, we are strong supporters of technology as an enabler to have a positive impact. While there are many interesting technologies that are currently available, a comprehensive overview of the relevant technologies is missing. Therefore we are seeking an intern to lead this evaluation.
The aim of the internship is to research, evaluate and summarize the potential of technologies and solutions that can help to solve the environmental pressures on the Baltic Sea.
The evaluation will focus on:
understanding the environmental impact
the technology cost structure
the potential of the technology
While many technologies and solutions already have been identified, additional market research will be required.
A part of the team
The internship starts in the beginning of September and will last for approximately 3-4 months. The intern will report to the CEO.
As a member of a small and multi-faceted team, you also will be given an opportunity to contribute to our organization in general and expected to support on administrative tasks.

is looking to gain experience in evaluating innovations and technologies

has completed, or is the final year of a Master’s degree within engineering or business
is proactive, can take initiative and manage a project

Excellent research and analytical skills; resourceful when it comes to collecting information and able to produce a synthesis.

Proactive and able to work independently.
Has an interest or experience in water issues, or other environmental issues, would be a considerable plus.
