Underwater Restoration Project: Spreading knowledge

Inspirational day for measures against eutrophication in the Baltic Sea 2021 at Blekinge Institute of Technology on December 15, 2021. Picture source: Robin Frejd, BTH.

In the past quarter a lot of efforts were put into knowledge about the technology. During the quarter we have had individual meetings with municipalities, participated in LIFE IP Rich Waters inspirational event for municipalities, hosted an event for municipalities in southern Sweden and developed marketing material including a movie. The movie covers internal load and the complications it has on water and eutrophication and will be part of a bigger marketing campaign in 2022.

The event for municipalities in southern Sweden was held with our partner Vattenresurs and hosted by Blue Science Park/Bleking Tekniska Högskola in Karlskrona. The day-long conference focused on eutrophication and, more specifically, internal load and various measures that can be implemented to address it. The value of once again being able to meet and network in a live setting was apparent. The event was very appreciated, led to new concrete leads and was concluded as an efficient way to accelerate the implementation of new technologies.

During the quarter we also deepened the cooperation with our research partners and hope to get going with measurements soon.
