Production: Substantial progress with our main partner

We are pleased to announce significant progress with our main partner, a large fertiliser producer in Poland, during the first quarter of 2023. We held a high-level meeting where we discussed the framework and scope of our future cooperation, which will formally commence upon signing the agreement. The meeting showcased a consensus on several areas with enormous potential for reducing phosphorus leakage into the Baltic Sea.

We also deepened collaboration with a medium-sized fertiliser producer and seaport operator. Our site visit confirmed the effectiveness of our prevention cover in reducing spillage. We actively participated in a Helcom workshop on hot spot criteria.

Deepening Collaboration with Fertiliser Producer and Seaport Operator in North-Western Poland
In the first quarter of 2023, we also had a productive working meeting with a medium-sized phosphate fertiliser producer and seaport operator in Poland. We discussed various technical solutions, such as prevention covers and cleaning technologies, and found a common approach. We are planning to hold a demonstration of a cleaning machine and a site visit with a prevention cover designer in the near future.

Site Visit
In February 2023, we visited one of our key partners in northern Poland - a large fertiliser producer and seaport where we installed a prevention cover at the quay side in 2021. The visit confirmed the effectiveness of the prevention cover in reducing phosphate rock spillage into the Baltic Sea.

HELCOM works
In March 2023, we participated in a Helcom workshop on designing new criteria for hot spots in the Baltic Sea. The hot spot list includes areas with the largest sources of pollution within the Baltic Sea area and plays a crucial role in decreasing existing pressures on the sea. We plan to actively participate in further discussions in Helcom with the aim of maintaining a balanced approach.
