We are now looking for a Communications Intern for autumn 2026 who wants to contribute to our mission of a healthier Baltic Sea.

As an intern at Race For The Baltic, you will work closely with our Communication Director and Business Managers in international projects focused on the health of the Baltic Sea, gaining hands-on experience in purpose-driven communication.

What will I do and learn during the internship?

As an intern, you will support the team in daily tasks. We are a small, close-knit team working on projects across various areas. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Create and publish content for Race For The Baltic’s social media (LinkedIn, Facebook), as well as newsletter and website

  • Support updates and content management on our website (Squarespace)

  • Assist with basic graphic design for digital and print materials (e.g. presentations, reports, folders)

  • Translate sustainability topics into clear and engaging communication for different target groups

  • Analyse and evaluate results to optimise content and communication strategies

  • Provide communication support to project managers on topics related to specific projects

During the internship period, there will also be room to explore other tasks within communication, marketing, and events to strengthen RFTB’s visibility among relevant target groups.

Requirements and qualifications

  • Ongoing studies in communication, media, marketing, environmental studies, or a related field

  • Bachelor’s level students as a minimum requirement

  • Ability to complete the internship as part of your studies (for academic credit)

  • Fluency in English is required. Fluency in Swedish, Polish, Finnish, Latvian, Lithuanian or Estonian is a plus

  • Previous experience or knowledge of social media is an advantage

Skills

We believe you are a self-driven, detail-oriented person with a cooperative and creative mindset.

  • Strong interest in environmental sustainability, preferably with some academic, professional, or personal engagement

  • Ability to communicate clearly and adapt content to different audiences

  • Experience in Canva, Mailchimp, Squarespace, InDesign, Photoshop or similar is a plus

  • Comfortable working in PowerPoint and Excel

Internship Period: Autumn 2026, for a full-term internship (30 credits) or half-term (15 credits).

Workplace: Our team is based at iOffice in central Stockholm. There is some flexibility for remote work.

Compensation: This is an unpaid internship and should be undertaken as part of your studies.
